FAQ

  • What is Reiki?

Reiki is an ancient form of hands-on healing that originated in Japan, that harnesses Ki energy through the practitioner to the client. This helps promote deep relaxation, healing and stress relief.

There is a universal energy that flows through each one of us and can often become blocked and stagnate. Reiki is used as a way to remove energy blocks in the body.

  • What is the difference between In Person & Distant Reiki?

    In Person

During the session, the client will lie on a massage table, fully clothed. I will then place my hands lightly on or over specific areas of the client’s head, limbs, and torso. If the client prefers no hands on the body this is more than ok. The session can still be effective with no hands-on. The hands will simply just hover over parts of the body.

Hands will be on different parts of the body for 3-10 minutes. I might feel that certain areas need more attention.

    Distant

Reiki healing can be sent to someone without them being present. Reiki practitioners are able to send healing energy across time and space. All I need is a photo of the client.

I do prefer to set a specific time to perform the healing so that the client can be somewhere where they can relax and be free of distraction.

You will receive a text and suggested music prior to the session and you will also receive confirmation once the session is complete.

  • What can a Reiki session feel like?

    In Person

You may feel heat as different parts of the body receive healing. You might also feel tingling or the energy moving through. You may also feel nothing at all, and this is more than ok. Each person can have a different experience.

I will also intuitively use crystals and might want to use essential oils. This will be discussed prior to the session beginning.

    Distant

With distant healing you are still likely to feel heat, tingling and energy moving through the body. You may also feel nothing except for a calm and peaceful moment. The experience can be different for every client.
